Fuku x Peter Luger Sando in Coral Gables: What to Know Before You Go

Have you had the Fuku x Peter Luger sando yet? It's a limited-edition fried chicken sandwich that Fuku, David Chang's chef-driven chicken spot, made with the legendary Peter Luger Steak House, and you can get it right here at Fuku Coral Gables on Miracle Mile. Think Fuku's spicy or mild fried chicken on a Martin's potato roll, piled with Peter Luger's extra thick-cut bacon, white onion and a special "Luger Jam." Here's everything you need to know before you go.
The Fuku x Peter Luger Collab
I'll be honest: when I heard that @fuku was teaming up with @peterlugersteakhouse, I had to go try it myself. Fuku is the fried chicken concept from chef David Chang (yes, the Momofuku David Chang). Peter Luger is the iconic Brooklyn steakhouse that has been around for well over a century. Put the two together and you get one very fun, very indulgent sando.
The collab launched in October 2026 at Fuku's South Florida locations, Coral Gables and West Palm Beach. It's billed as a limited-edition release, and no end date has been announced. So my advice is simple: go while it lasts, and check Fuku's Instagram to make sure it's still on the menu before you head over.
What's on the Fuku Peter Luger Sando
This is what makes it so good. The sando comes on a soft Martin's potato roll and features:
- Fuku's signature fried chicken, either spicy or mild (you pick)
- Peter Luger's extra thick-cut bacon, and it really is thick
- White onion for a little crunch and bite
- "Luger Jam," a special spread made with Peter Luger's iconic steak sauce and shallots
The Luger Jam is the star for me. It's sweet, savory and a little tangy, and it brings out that steakhouse flavor in the smoky bacon and crispy chicken. Every bite has a bit of everything. In a word: delish.
When I visited, the letter board inside listed the Peter Luger x Fuku Sando at $15. Since this is a limited-time item, prices can change, so treat that as a ballpark.
What to Order With It
Luger Lager
If you're going to do the collab, do the whole collab. The sando pairs perfectly with Luger Lager, Peter Luger's own house beer, brewed with Brooklyn's Threes Brewing. It's a Bavarian-style lager, crisp and easy to drink, and it was made to go with Peter Luger's food. It's also great at cutting through all that bacon.
Crispy Fries
Get the fries. Fuku's waffle fries are crispy, salty and exactly what you want next to a big fried chicken sandwich.
The Dipping Sauces
You know FUKU's dipping sauces are 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Fuku Mayo and the miso ranch are classics. Order a couple and dunk everything: fries, chicken, the corner of your sando. No judgment here.
Not drinking? Fuku also has a frozen drinks machine and slushies, which are a fun Miami-heat move.

Local Tips for Your Fuku Shenanigans
- Eat it on the spot. A follower left a great tip on my reel: this sando "has to be eaten on the spot. Not deliverable." Fuku does list it for takeout and delivery, but I agree with the tip. Hot crispy chicken, thick bacon and jam are best right when they come out of the kitchen. Grab a table and enjoy it fresh.
- Go spicy if you like heat. The spicy chicken plays really nicely with the sweet Luger Jam. If spice isn't your thing, mild is still fantastic.
- Make a Miracle Mile afternoon of it. Park once, eat, then walk the Mile for shopping, coffee or dessert.
- Check before you go. Limited-edition items can sell out or end without much warning, so peek at Fuku's Instagram first.
Fun aside: Fuku isn't only about the chicken. My sister plays mahjong with 888 Mahjong at Fuku once a month, so this spot has become a little bit of a family hangout for us!
