Husk Coffee: The Cute Teal Matcha Truck on Bird Road, Miami

If you're looking for a new matcha spot near Coral Gables, let me introduce you to Husk Coffee, a super cute teal coffee truck on Bird Road in Miami. They serve iced specialty matchas, cozy coffee drinks and savory bites. Yes, that includes tequeños. I tried it and it's officially in my matcha rotation.

Here's what Husk Coffee is, what I'd order, how to find the truck, and a few more matcha and coffee spots near the Gables for when you want to switch it up.

What Is Husk Coffee?

Husk Coffee is a small, Miami-based artisanal coffee business. You'll spot it right away because it runs out of a bright teal truck with an outdoor patio setup, which makes it a great pick-me-up stop when you're out running errands. Their Instagram bio calls it "made from scratch" and "crafted with intention," and you can taste that in the drinks. The matcha is whisked to order, not poured from a premade batch, and that makes a real difference in a matcha latte.

What I love most is that it doesn't feel like a chain. It feels like one of those little local finds you tell your friends about, and I'm doing exactly that. If you've followed me for a while, you know how much I love a good matcha. Some of you may remember my love letter to Basquet's matcha latte in Coconut Grove. So when I say Husk earned a spot in my rotation, I mean it.

What to Order at Husk Coffee

The menu boards on the truck are split into iced matcha specialties, iced coffee specialties and a short list of bites. Here's what I saw on the boards when I visited. Prices may change, so check the truck before you order.

Iced Matcha Specialties

Matcha is the main event for me. The Classic Matcha was listed at $6.50 for 16 oz, and the specialty matchas were $7.99 for 16 oz. The specialty lineup included:

  • Island Berry
  • CocoMatcha
  • Morenita
  • FlorMatcha
  • Limo Matcha
  • Sweet Vanilla

If you're new to matcha, start with the Classic so you can taste the matcha itself. If you already love it and want something fun, try one of the specialties. The names alone make me want to work through the whole list.

Iced Coffee Specialties

Not a matcha person? No judgment, and your coffee-loving friends are covered too. The iced coffee specialties were also $7.99 for 16 oz:

  • Tropicookie
  • Whipped French Toast
  • Honey Vanilla Coast
  • Sea Salt Maple Mocha
  • Nutella Sun Kiss
  • Coquito
  • Caramel Island

A Coquito iced coffee is about as Miami as it gets. When I went, they also had a "Spooky Season" board of seasonal drinks, so expect the specials to change through the year.

Savory Bites (Yes, Tequeños)

This is where Husk stands out from a lot of drink-only spots. The "Fall Bites" chalkboard listed:

  • Cheese Tequeño
  • Ham and Cheese Croissant
  • Pesto Mozzarella Tomato Ciabatta
  • Chocolate Croissant

They also had a latte plus ciabatta combo for $10.99, which is a great deal for a quick lunch. And you already know I had to get the tequeños. Matcha and tequeños together is a combo I didn't know I needed.

Where to Find Husk Coffee: Location, Hours and Parking

I visited Husk Coffee on Bird Road in Miami, an easy drive from Coral Gables. A few of you asked in the comments where exactly it parks (someone mentioned the 69th and Bird area). I couldn't confirm a fixed address or set hours. Food trucks move, and Husk also does pop-ups at other spots around Miami.

Before you go, check @huskcoffee_ on Instagram for the current spot and hours. That's where they post updates, and it'll save you from driving up and down Bird Road with a matcha craving.

As for parking, the truck sets up at an outdoor patio spot, so plan on a quick stop. Look for the teal truck. You really can't miss it.

Who Husk Coffee Is For (Plus a Local Tip)

Husk Coffee is perfect for:

  • Matcha lovers who want something different from the usual coffee shop latte
  • Coffee and matcha run buddies, since there's something on the menu for each of you
  • Anyone running errands on Bird Road who wants a treat and a snack in one stop
  • Local-business supporters who love finding small Miami spots before everyone else does

My local tip: make it a Bird Road afternoon. Grab your matcha and tequeños, then head to Bird Bowl for a round of bowling, mini golf or arcade games. It's an easy, fun plan for a weekend afternoon or a low-key date.
