Coral Gables is known for its professional atmosphere during the day. Lunch hour turns into a rush hour in the city’s downtown area with working professionals trying to get back to their desks on time. I understand that sometimes there aren’t enough hours in the day, which is why I’ve got a roundup of some the fastest, cheapest, and tastiest restaurants the city has to offer. 1. Gusto Fino
Gusto Fino serves up Italian goodness from the Campania region of Italy. Pop in for some delicious deli options or stick around for their hot plates. Gusto Fino has something for everyone, no matter what you’re craving, plus it’s easy on the budget, which is why it’s my number one choice!
2. Chocolate Fashion
Don’t let the name fool you. Sure, Chocolate Fashion sells some delectable desserts and pastries, but the breakfast and lunch are what it’s all about. Try out the sandwiches or salads for an inexpensive lunch, or go for the breakfast menu, which is served daily until 2:30 PM, for the café’s best.
3. My Ceviche
For those of us that are health conscious, My Ceviche has got just what you’re looking for. Think fresh fish, low carb, and gluten-free. There are vegan options for you non- pescetarians out there. Bottom line; expect a light, delicious lunch made from the best ingredients.
4. Rice
Rice is a favorite spot for a quick and healthy lunch. This Mediterranean-themed restaurant has all you need for a flavorful meal right on Giralda. My suggestion? Go for the bowl to build your own meal full of the freshest ingredients Rice has to offer.
5. Cafe Curuba
If you’re looking for homemade treats and specialty coffee, Café Curuba is the place for you. You might miss this small café off of Ponce, but you won’t miss the flavor. Enjoy a sandwich, pastries, or some of their other menu items. This spot with its quiet atmosphere is a must try!
6. Graziano’s Market
Located in the heart of downtown this place is a hub for professionals during lunch hour. Go ahead and spend a little extra on a churrasco or keep things simple with some empanadas or sandwiches. Their menu is extensive, so there is something for everyone. Be sure to save some room for dessert. Graziano’s serves up some of the best Argentinian sweets in town.
7. Pokebao
As much as I love Pokebao, you aren’t exactly going to find a deal here. The good news is, you are going to get your meal fast, and I guarantee it’s going to be tasty. Choose from their delicious poké options or try out some bao buns. All the noms!
8. Sushi Maki
Sushi Maki’s lunch menu has got all that you need for a filling a delicious lunch. Sit down and relax on their outside area and choose between some of their specials. Finding inexpensive and good sushi is tough, but Sushi Maki is making that all the easier.
