Turn Back The Clock Shop Is a Whole Time Machine on Bird Road
Some stores sell clothes. Turn Back The Clock Shop on Bird Road sells a portal. You walk in off SW 40th Street and suddenly it is 1985: pink walls covered in old Hollywood glamour shots, a brass chandelier glowing over racks of 70s, 80s, and 90s fashion, Patrick Nagel prints, vinyl on the wall, and a Memphis-checkerboard NEW ARRIVALS sign that deserves its own museum wing. It is one of my favorite vintage stores in Miami, and after you watch thirty seconds of it in motion you will understand why.
What You Will Find Inside
The racks run deep across three decades: power blazers, slip dresses, snakeskin, sequins, and patterns that have absolutely lived a life. Then the shelves take over with retro glam jewelry, hats stacked on hats (the hot pink wide-brim called to me personally), rotary and push-button phones, boomboxes, Golden Girls nostalgia, and rare pop culture collectibles you did not know you were hunting until they were in your hand. Every corner is styled like a set, which makes sense once you learn the shop also does true 80s-style glamour shot sessions, with hair, makeup, and outfit styling included.
Meet Sebastian
The shop opened in 2021, and here is the detail that gets me: the collector behind it, Sebastian, was eighteen when he opened the doors. He has since built one of the most lovingly curated vintage rooms in Miami, and he is exactly as delightful as his store.
