320 Gastrolounge Brings Lomo Saltado Bao Buns to Coral Gables

Bao Buns (steamed Japanese buns) are the latest foodie trend to hit South Florida. As a lover of fluffy, chewy carbs; I thoroughly approve this trend. Chef Anderson Osorio has combined these glorious buns with my favorite Peruvian dish, lomo saltado. I highly recommend you make plans to stop by 320 Gastrolounge and load up on Lomo Saltado Bao Buns.

Recommended Appetizer

Spicy Hamachi features white buttery fish served with avocado, cilantro, cucumber, and ponzu truffle. If you like spicy food, it has a nice kick. The think slices melt in your mouth followed by a citrus explosion, hints of cucumber and cilantro. It’s a refreshing way to start your meal and prepare your palette for the following dishes.

Recommended Main Entrees

Lomito Bao Bun: Japanese steamed bun with stir fry beef topped with stringed potato fries, salsa and kimchi (fermented cabbage). The kimchi has enzymes that aid digestion allowing you to order an extra round of buns!

Bronzino Sudado: This Meditarrenean fish is an adventurous choice. Perfect if you are in the mood to being transported to the coast of Italy. The fish is first fried with skin with togarashi (Japanese chili pepper). Then it’s baked and topped with fresh raw Asian vegetables including enokitake mushroom, shitakki mushrooms, bean sprouts, bok choy and lime. When served the Bronzino is drizzled in a Togarashi sauce, garlic oil, soy sauce and sesame oil. Every bite is fresh and soft with the perfect mix of Asian flavors. The skin is crispy adding a delicious texture to the salty dish. When you mix it with the vegetables it balances the salt and the spices. They also remove the fish bones which is usually a pain when you order an entire fried fish.
